Die Welt scheint sich überall schneller zu drehen, auch hier in Asien oder besonders hier. Moni hat vor 25 Jahren in Bangkok gewohnt und hat die Stadt nicht wiedererkannt. Auch von meinen Besuchen von vor ca. 15 Jahren ist nicht viel übrig geblieben. Zwar sind die historischen Touristen-Highlights wie Tempel und Paläste noch ähnlich, aber der Rest der Stadt ist moderner, technsischer und westlicher geworden.

Later you had to apply at the border for the visa, paying a fortune – depending on the officer – and maybe waiting for hours. Today, the poorest country of Asia – Cambodia – has e-visa. Just apply at http://evisa.mfaic.gov.kh/, pay 25 US$ by credit-card and you get withhin 2 days the visa by PDF – print it – done.
