Computer – Handys etc. pp.\u00a0 So hab ich (Timo) endlich einen neuen Akku f\u00fcr meinen Laptop erhalten, da der alte nur noch 30 min. durchhielt. Und Moni, ja sie hatte wohl auch Geb. Denn nun ist sie stolze Besitzerin eines iPads 1. Das iPad 2 gibt es in Thailand offiziell noch nicht und unter der Ladentheke ist es mit fast 1.000 EUR doch etwas zu teuer. iPad 1, 3G, 64 GB = 470 EUR. Beim Abschied wird uns „Happy New Year“ gew\u00fcnscht und endlich wissen wir, wieso die so bescheuert drauf sind. Es ist Songkran – das Thail\u00e4ndische Neujahrsfest vom 13.-15.04. Doch ein ganz besonderer Geburstag – der erste Tag der Weltreise am Neujahrstag in Thailand. Das Jahr f\u00e4ngt gut an!<\/p>\n

The hightest building of Bangkok, the Baiyoke Sky Tower<\/a>. Walking around, people started to shoot water at us – strange. Little later we met people with white paint in the face – and they just came to us and put the ugly stuff in our faces as well. Very strange people in Thailand. Going shopping we got an iPad for Moni and a new batery for Timo – well it was my birthday, but Moni got the presents – as usual. After buying the iPad, they said „Happy New Year“ and that was the clue to the paint and water. The so called Sonkran festival – the start of the new year in Thailand. What a surprise – the first day of the world trip, my birthday and the 1st day of the new year. <\/em><\/p>\n More about Songkran<\/a>.<\/p>\n Am Abend sind wir dann zur Khao San Strasse gegangen – die Partymeile der Stadt. Und dort war dann richtig Songkran angesagt.<\/p>\n In the evening we went to the Khao San Road – the party road of Bangkok.
